This template and the categories it provides are critical for several Picasa Web Albums related processes. This template contains some very complicated syntax and you should not edit it unless you know what you're doing.

Instructions for reviewers

English: The following instructions are only for administrators and community approved reviewers. If you are neither of those, you only have to tag the image {{picasareview}}.

The image is initially in Category:Picasa Web Albums review needed.
Update the source to point directly to the album image page, as described at Commons:Picasa Web Albums files#Linking to a Picasa file, and make sure the author is given credit, and that the highest resolution version was uploaded (typically 1600 × 1200).
Sometimes users on Picasa upload public domain images which are then transferred to Commons. The license of these images on Picasa is irrelevant; mark it {{Picasareviewunnecessary}}. You can also use this tag for images freely licensed elsewhere (such as on Flickr).
If the image is currently available on Picasa under the same license as on the Commons, modify the review template to {{picasareview|YourUsername|~~~~~}}. This places it in Category:Files from Picasa Web Albums reviewed by trusted users.
If the image is currently available on Picasa under a license which is allowed on the Commons, but the license on Commons is not the same (such as an older version of the same license), update the license tag on the Commons image to match the Picasa one and modify the review template to {{picasareview|YourUsername|~~~~~|changed=license}}. This places it in Category:Files from Picasa Web Albums reviewed by trusted users.
If the licence is allowed on the Commons, сheck if the author is properly attributed.
If the image is currently available on Picasa with a license which is not acceptable on Commons, do not update the license tag. Instead modify the review tag to {{picasareview|YourUsername|~~~~~|current Picasa license}}. This places it in Category:Possibly unfree Picasa Web Albums files.
Please leave a comment on the photo, such as "Thanks for licensing this CC-BY! Your choice of a free license has allowed us to use your image in Wikimedia Commons (http://commons.wikimedia.org/ )." to confirm that the photographer did not make a mistake in their license selection and to encourage them to join our community.
